OK, at last Galaxy Far Away seems to be building up a decent Humor section. We would like to welcome Prasad Shankar to our contributing staff. He would be working on the Humor section for now and will move to any section he wants to! This week, he has come in with a new feature for A Galaxy Full of Laughs called The Coruscant's Most Wanted. This week, the featured criminal is our very own farm-boy...

We are also working on Message Boards for GalaxyFarAway.com to discuss everything Star Wars; from Vector Prime to TPM DVDs; from Tosche to Bocce... anything Star Wars!

Official Site Update

The Official Site has updated it's section on the Women of Star Wars. The feature includes Adi Gallia, Amidala, Oola, Mon Mothma, Toryn Farr and Sy Snootles.
There is also a report on the Dark Trooper and Space Trooper from the Expanded Universe collections. You can preorder the action figures of these also at Shop.Starwars.com.
The Snapshot for the day features Anakin with Shmi Skywalker.

In Book news, The New Jedi Order Vector Prime by R A Salvatore is at #11 in the New York Times bestseller list.
Also, Star Wars Masterpiece Edition C-3PO: Tales of the Golden Droid is now available in stores everywhere. Following the sensational success of Anakin Skywalker: The Story of Darth Vader, the C-3PO Masterpiece Edition showcases everyone's favorite golden droid. At last, Threepio gets the tribute he deserves in this exclusive, limited edition illustrated hardcover book and exclusive large collector figure. It should cost between $50 and $55.

These pages are more a taste of what to expect from that section, than what to expect from the upcoming films!

Official Site Update

The Official site has three updates today. One is a report on ILM; and their methods in seamlessly merging the CG characters with live action footage. Interesting stuff. The snapshot for the day is a picture of Anakin with R2; with Anakin trying to get into the Naboo Fighter.
The third update is an interesting one. For the first time, we see Mara Jade in "flesh". An actress has been chosen to play Mara Jade, and will feature on the cover of Insider #47! She will also have her own CCG card soon from Decipher.

Our beloved Han Solo just couldn't come to terms with a Helicopter after years with his Falcon. We are happy he is unhurt, but this is what Los Angeles Times has to say :

Like a daring climax to one of his hit movies, Harrison Ford and his flight instructor walked away from a helicopter crash this weekend in a dry riverbed after reportedly taking off from Van Nuys Airport, a Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman said.
The accident took place about 11:15 a.m. Saturday when the Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter carrying Ford and the unidentified instructor went down near Lake Piru about 45 miles northwest of Los Angeles, FAA Operations Officer Diana Joubert said.
After the helicopter took off from Van Nuys, it headed to the Ventura County site, where it was practicing auto rotations when the accident occurred, Joubert said.
Joubert said it was not clear who was at the controls when the helicopter fell to the ground. But she said the craft sustained heavy damage after coming to rest on its left side.

Also, Entertainment Weekly named George Lucas #4 on their power list. Now I wonder who the first three could be?

Also, GalaxyFarAway.com is proud to host the Interstellar Federation of the SWCombine. (Why? Because both Jedirob and I, DevanJedi are members of it!).  The section is not complete, but worth a look. And if you haven't checked out SWCombine yet, what are you waiting for? It's the coolest online Star Wars game around.

Expect no more updates till later today. This is because we are switching our banners to our new sponsors; Brian's Toys, a complete Star Wars toys dealers. They have everything from vintage to Episode I. Check them out; and let them know we sent you!
