the Star Wars Encyclopedia Jan Dodonna | Nien
Nunb | General Crix Madine | Bail
Organa | Two-OneBee played by Alex McCrindle General Jan Dodonna was the officer who planned
the assault on the first Death Star from the Rebel
Base at Yavin. He interpreted the Death Star plans
which arrived in R2D2; and planned
the destruction of the first Death Star. Jan Dodonna had stayed back to evacuate the
Rebel Base at Yavin 4; and was initially believed to be dead, but had survived
the attack of Yavin. Nien Nunb and Admiral Ackbar are symbols of the 'secular'
nature of the Rebel Alliance. The Rebel Alliance had a number of non-human
members; even at high positions. On the other hand, the Galactic Empire had
it's marked biases against non-human species. Non-humans were either prisoners
or slaves, in their scheme of things. Nien Nunb was the co-pilot to Lando Calrissian on the
Millenium Falcon at the Battle over the Endor moon to destroy the second Death
Star. played by Dermot Crowley Crix Madine was an Imperial Officer in command of an elite
commando force before defecting to the Alliance after the Battle of Yavin.
He was in command of all Alliance ground forces and strategy. He was
responsible for the plan to destroy the second Death Star. The foster father of Princess
Leia Organa, he was a strong defender of the Old Republic in its dying
days and became one of the founders of the Rebel Alliance after Senator Palpatine
declared himself Emperor. Bail Organa was a decorated war hero, having fought
in the clone wars at the side of Obi-Wan Kenobi and
others. In addition to being an elected representative to the Galactic Senate,
Organa was Viceroy and First Chairman of the Alderaan
system. Along with Mon Mothma,
the Corellian Garm Bel Iblis, and a few others, he fought Palpatine's grand
design for a New Order. Organa became Mothma's advisor and operated from
Alderaan. He was later killed when the Death Star was tested on the innocent
planet of Alderaan, and was destroyed along with one billion of its
inhabitants. An older medical droid that serves the Rebel
Alliance, it is a skilled surgeon and field medic. Too-Onebee treats Luke
Skywalker twice around the time of the Battle of Hoth, including an
operation to replace Luke's severed hand with a mechanical replacement. Like others of its class, this roughly
humanoid-appearing droid has surgical manipulation appendages, a medical
diagnostic computer and a treatment analysis computer. For detailed patient
status information, 2-1B relies on medical instrumentation or useful analysis
droids like FX-7.
